Getting back in the swing of things this past week, after the big cruise (which, BTW, Steve (rootbeer1) has been chronicling quite nicely on his journal. Go check it out). On Wednesday the 4th we had a wee BBQ in our recently refurbished back yard, with Jim (sflonestar), Gregg, Paul (excessor), and Curtis (dr_scott). It was typically foggy and chilly, so we moved indoors to eat, but it was great to share shish kabob, couscous and gossip. After dinner we forced everyone to view our Alaska slides. It was very 60's-suburban.

Friday Steve and I went to see Ratatouille with Phil (foodpoisoningsf). Loved the movie, and escpecially seeing it with Phil, who attests to its accuracy in the kitchen. I really want to see it again in the theater. And spend more time with Phil.

Saturday (yesterday) we drove up to the Russian River to John's (squalidbear) and Chuck's (sgtchuck) dacha for a spectacular pool party in the woods. Great food, great men, too many LJers to count, a great time. And the weather was perfect, whilst we left the fog behind in SF.

Today looks much nicer weather-wise in the City. We may go out and look for some more succulents, and check out paint colors for our upcoming house-painting next week. I have jury duty too, but don't have to report tomorrow.
